Decent Laptop

Hey TEk-Tippers,

Whats a decent laptop out there. From what I know Toshiba's were always a good choice, but I love Sony's. Any suggestions? Also is buying one at Best Buy a good decision?

I won't even drive past a Best Buy after all the rotten luck I have had with their PCs & service.
