Experiencing a major slow boot with W2K Pro (see my original reply to previous post). However, the only mode I can get into, besides safe mode, is Debugging Mode. All seems to operate well in debug mode. Is it possible to run programs in debug mode, including SQL 7.0 server, and be able to operate over the network? Thanks in advance! Tried every possible solution out there. All I *eventually* get after logging in (and waiting for about 15 - 20 minutes to boot) is the mouse pointer and a black screen, even in VGA only mode. Did the driver reinstalls, recovery console fixes, repair the op system via w2k setup disk, tcp/ip only, winsock fix, you name it, been there, done that. Out of options. Proper disks are not available for reformatting which is why this is critical to fix. Thanks! Any other ideas are welcome too.

'Proper disks are not available for reformatting'

Do you mean you haven't got a 2k install CD?

W2K disk is really no problem, it's all the other software that is not available for reload that runs the biz. Got that covered, they are getting the proper software for a rebuild. Debugging mode worked like a champ so they could stay open. I guess the next question is this...I know what the general deal is with "debugging" mode, but what exactly does it load? Is an "in between" for safe and normal? All loads and you can operate just fine. Besides the serial port info it sends, what else is it for? Any insight would be great. Thanks!!
