I replaced Red Hat with Debian and I am very happy with Debian
thus far. My only problem is I can't set the display I keep getting the following error. Any help is greatly appreciated.

root@froto:~# DISPLAY=froto:0.0 ; export DISPLAY
root@froto:~# xhost +
xhost: unable to open display "froto:0.0"
root@froto:~#

you should run [tt]xhost +localhost[/tt] as user instead of root.
