So I have an interesting issue that I can't seem to figure out. Have an IP Office v 8.0(44), and have a few extensions then when a call connects the number 9 key does not get recognized. I can dial out, 9 1 XXX XXX-XXXX, with out issue. Once call connects 9 will no longer tone. If I move the handset to another location on the BIX the 9 issue resolves itself. The wiring looks correct in and out of the BIX so I feel it might be port related on the system. Any thoughts?

Sip? Sip>dtmf format.
Have you rebooted and the problem persists?
Upgrade within your release.
Could be the combo card if the issue is isolated to the port and a stare and compare doesn't yield any differences to other extensions. You could try deleting the extension and then pasting back in from a known good one. That'll flush out programming related issues.

Sometimes I wonder.

Are those Nortel sets by any chance?
That is one of those ugly problems that Avaya seems to have with Nortel phones and mostly T7316 non-E
A full reboot (power away from the modules will fix it for a while

Yes this are Nortel sets, T7316E to be exact. Haven't sent a reboot to the system yet, guessing just moving the port location is what is resolving the issue, but will most likely be a temporary fix.
