Ok here it is I can set up a t1 no issue....
For my home lab I have a dds a Paradyne CSU dsu and 2 2600's. One 2600 has a t1 wic.

My goal is to get at least the paradyne and the t1 wic to work together back to back so I can learn the finer points of t1's.

I have made and teste the t1 crossover.

I have goten as far as getting DCD=up DSR=up DTR=up RTS=up CTS=up.

But the interface is still down, and yes there is the no shut.

have you set the clock source on both sides?

one to line and one to internal?

DDS is 56/64K technology. It is not compatible with T1. If you have a DDS CSU/DSU then you will not be able to get it to connect to a T1 interface of any variety. They're completely different.

jneiberger, read the post again. He is trying to get the Paradyne and T1 wic working, not the DDS. And I agree with plshlpme. So often this step is overlooked when doing crossover connections.

I thought he meant that he had a Paradyne DDS CSU/DSU. If that's not the case, ignore my post.
