Anyone know how to set the size of the string a dbgrid cell can accept? For some reason, my dbgrid will only accept five characters.

It does however display values correctly, just editing them trims the string.

Seems stange to me, and I haven't been able to work it out for several weeks.

Any ideas?

Have you defined any persistent TField objects for your data? If yes, then check what the 'Size' property is specified in the Object Inspector for the object (probably a TStringField object).

If size is set to 5 then your application would show the kind of behaviour you are experiencing.
