DB2 Version 8 incompatible with BO V5?

We just received word from our systems people that there may be a problem with the compatability of DB2 V.8 and BO V.5. Does anyone know if such a problem does exist?

This would be a major problem for us if true!

I don't know. They just mentioned "unknown compatibility". I was trying to see if anyone had experienced problems between these 2 products.

As far as the PARs are concerned, it appears that DB2 v8 requires fixpack SP7 (or later). If anyone has successfully upgraded to DB2 v8 with BO v5 please post a reply ASAP to confirm that it works.

BO V5 will NOT work with DB2 V8 if you are not at least on BO V5.1.7.

Do you have personal experience with this or did you read/hear it somewhere? We're using BO 5.1.5 so it would be a problem. Thanks for the reply.

That's what the PAR says. It likely works anyway. If you are using CAE, the issue is not one of BO and DB2. It's one of BO and CAE.
