DB Size

Hi,
General Question really, Why is the DB so huge? Reading a post where one guys DB was 7gb!? What exactly does the DB contain?

Choose Quick Start - Database menu in BAB and you will see what is in DB! It contains the job records, media records, device records (File System device, tape device, library etc.) and media pools.

it also contains the file-and-folder information of the back up data. Each database entry is about 100Bytes , so depending on your environment the database can grow pretty large
