DB recovery

Hi all!
I run into the problem trying to restore master db from backup. The problem is that after I start SQL in single-user mode and run RESTORE DATABASE FROM DISK statement in QAnalyzer, my SQL server shuts down automatically after my attempts to restart it. I can't even start it form services - it gives me non-descriptive error message. Has anybody run into the similar problem and what have you done to solve it? Re-installation of SQL server didn't help. Its SQL 7.0 and it runs in NT 2000 server.

What database(s) are you restoring? Can you provide the SQL for your restore statement? Tom Davis
