It is difficult to tell with the sparse info you provided. It would be helpful to know the client, the version of SQL, whether you use ODBC or OLE DB.
Most likely problem is a missing, unregistered or mismatched DLL. You might try re-installing MDAC on the PC in question. Terry L. Broadbent

The workstation is running on amd k62 450 with nt workstation installed and its using sql 7.0 native drivers. ty
