Db Combo problem

I am using Db Combo on a form. When Access 2000 is database any number of records can be filled. Then if I type Z, I am taken to first record of Z. But when I try this using SQL server 7, upto around 100 records Db combo functions correctly. But when the records are more than 100 and I type Z I do not go to first Z record. I have to scroll to Z to select Z record. I will appreciate if I get help on this.
