DB backup

I want to send a SQL Server 7 database from one computer to another, and I'm wondering if it's possible to go through a parallel connection for such a thing, and if such a thing would be faster than through a 10 mbps network connection.

I believe I could use the DTS, I'm replacing an old server with a new one and I need an exact copy of the SQL database on the old one put on the new one.

Do a full backup of all databases on the old server and restore the backups to the new server. You must also restore master for this to work. Terry
