Possible flooding, high winds, etc. are predicted in our area this weekend as a result of Hurricane Rita. I may have to perform an attended full backup on our Intuity Audix (rel 5 on a Map100) during business hours before the weekend.

Anyone know if this backup would affect service if done during business hours?

How much longer might this take than the nightly backups?

Map100 sounds like you have a huge system with a lot of subscribers. The system can only do one thing at a time, so it time shares with other duties. A lot depends on how many suscribers you have and how much they use the system. It will affect preformance but whether that will be noticed will depend on your use. If you have your main number going to a auto attd in the Intuity and it is very busy, then I would think that would be the biggest problem. If you could change over to a person to answer the calls during the backup that would help.

P.S. For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Please answer all questions so that I may have the info to assist you. Leaving a post on how you fixed the problem will also be appreciated.

Why not just wait until Friday night at 7:00 pm or so....

I would do it a night. You will probably be fine doing it during the day, but why risk a s......l.......o.......w audix.
