Days of the week 1

I have two fields called "date sampled" and "date completed"

I want to callculate how many days it took to complete a sample...Thats no problem, but what I need to do is, exclude saturday and sunday from the count.

I have a formula in excel, but was having problems with access..


any help would be appreciated

Here's something I tried and it worked. Someone may have something better.

1. In a query add the fields that you need.
2. In a new column instead of putting a field name type:

Weekday([DateName])
' DateName is the name of your date field in question.

3. Now for the criteria of this new field put:

Not Like 1 And Not Like 7
