Date Query: All contact payments that are overdue?

Hopefully a simple one but my knowledge of queries is very limited.

As my contracts are added they are all set a payment deadline.

I want to add a command button to the switchboard that allows me to preview a report of all contracts that have gone past the deadline date.

Can someone advise?

Many thanks

Dave

I am not too sure I know what you mean.

I have 3 fields in a form:

CONTRACTOR:
AMOUNT_DUE:
DUE_BY:

As soon as the current date goes past the due date I want it to appear on my report. I have set up a report to get data from a query but I am not sure how to enter the criteria?

Can you help?

Thanks :)

select CONTRACTOR, AMOUNT_DUE,DUE_BY from tablename
where DUE_BY<date()

but the problem with this that even if someonr paid it will still come up in the list

Where can I look to learn about entering criteria codes and symbols etc..?

I need to get to grips with this but need a good source that is better then the help file.
