Date Function Malfunction?!!!

Hi...
I have experience with VBA, but am new to VB6. I'm trying to utilize the date() function, and it's not jivin'. When I assign the value to a unbound control, or even just test it in the immediate window, the result is blank. I've checked the references, and tried adding the Office Object Libraries to no avail. Any advice?

Time and Now worked, but Date didn't... That doesn't make ANY sense!
