Can I pick anybodies brains.
I think I have seen this problem in the long distant past, but am not sure anymore what the solution is.
If you type =today() into a cell, you should see something like 13/02/2003 for a UK machine.
I know that * before a format uses Date and time and regional settings in the control panel.
If they are set to UK, then it should come out like above.
Somebody has a stand alone machine, and swears blind that the control panels settings are set to UK etc.
The problem is that it comes out in the American Format.
The format cells dilaogue box is also set as UK.
This person has put this spreadsheet onto their own laptop and its works fine.
I am just wondering if this would right itself if the Excel regedit was deleted, or is Windows corrupt.
Whatever, if you know of this problem, whats the treatment for it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
