Hello again, I have yet another question for all of you Crystal Reports Messiahs...
I have developed a date driven reporting system for my firm that tracks our conversions of clients from paper based tax returns/financial statements to new electronic based (CaseWare) returns/statements. Each day an Administrative Assistant uses my front end application (Visual Basic 6) and interacts with an Access database updating where each client is in the conversion process. Each week (Monday morning) the Administrative Assistant launches reports from within the application to distribute to each of the Partners in the Firm. Now my problem, There are a total of 8 steps (Statuses) in the conversion process. When a Partner gets the new report each Monday morning I want only the most recent activity to be shown. As it is now I have the report grouped by Partner and then by Status and because each client will be at each of the 8 steps (Status) when all is said and done the client will show up in the report 8 different times. I hope I'm not making this too confusing. Anyway, to make a short story long, how do I tell Crystal only to use the most recent activity for each client and then forget about the others? I am using CR 9 Advanced. Thanks in advance.
