I have a continous form that requires when I change the date txtbox at the top of the form. What I want to do is bring up a date look at the records that add to those records with the date I type in the txtbox at the top of the form. What is happening whan I put a date in the box it requires just fine. But when I try to add a new record it defaults to todays date. Not sure why I did not code it to do this any help would be nice.

I'm assuming that you have a date field on the record that you are listing in cont. form view and want added records to have this field default to the value of the date control that you have in the form header. The date field in the header should be unbound and it seems that you already have the event code for it working properly. The date control in the record can be bound to the data field and should have its default value set to the date control in the form header. You will have to make sure that there is no default value specified for the date filed in the table definition. Good luck.
