Hello All

I have a spreadsheet. its being updated daily. I am in fix as I am trying to put at the bottom LAST UPDATED: and it should show me when the last time spreadsheet was updated.

I did it using date formula in the footer but it puts in that column the current date.

for eg: I modified the spread sheet on June 10, 2006 and I came back to work on June 14. The spreadsheet should show in the last updated column as June 10 and not as June 14.

Any idea/clue to how fix this problem. Your help will be truly and greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hi
First and foremost have a look at this faq707-1657.

One other thing to consider, what is your definition of updated? Is it when the sheet is changed or when it is saved?

How do I get the best answers?

Thanks Loomah for the update. The definition for the updated i am looking for is when sheet is changed.

assuming i changed the sheet on june 10 and i opened it again june 14 the spreadsheet should show june 10 and not june 14.

put it this way: when the sheet is updated the date should reflect the date it got updated.

thank you

Hi loomah,

I am newbie in the visual basic but I am able to compile the event per FAQ707-1657 and was successful. I opened a sample excel spreadsheet and i am wondering how i have to correlate the vb script with the spreadsheet. I mean how can i get the last updated date stamp on the spreadsheet.

Your help will be truly appreciated.

Thanks

hi,

What is your code doing whenever you make a change on your sheet?

Please post your code along with the expected result for a given change.
