A client has an Access 2002 mdb with a table and continuous view form. The form is based on the table. When they switch to Datasheet view, they cannot see all of the columns -- however, Format > Unhide Columns does not list the missing ones! The fields are definitely in the table.

Is this a bug in Access 2002?

I tried creating a new form based on the table and based on a query selecting all fields from the table. Nothing helps!

Any ideas?

How are ya AG777 . . .

[blue]Are the missing fields in the [purple]Detail[/purple] section in design view no matter what form view?[/blue]

Yes, the form shows all of the fields in the Detail section.

In Datasheet view, several columns do not appear and are not listed under Format > Unhide Columns.

TheAceMan1 - Hey, you were right!!

Unless the fields are in the detail section of the form, whether or not they are visible, they are not available in datasheet view.

I've never seen this .. did I miss a FAQ somewhere?!

Many Thanks

You loose alot of form functionality with [blue]DataSheet[/blue] view!

To circumvent this be aware you can make a [blue]Continuous[/blue] view form look just like a [blue]DataSheet[/blue] and retain full form functionality. Also note: [purple]there's no law that saids a record in the detail area has to be one line![/purple] You can have as many line as you desire, the point being fields do not have to be off the screen . . .
