datagrid scrollbar not responding

I have a few datagrids on my form, which are on different tabs of a tab control, and it seems that the scrollbars are not responding. What I mean is that they don't show up and where they are supposed to display, the information from another window is in it's place. (just like when a window isn't responding and information from another window is shown in it's place)

Is this problem clear or do I need to try to explain more? Any help is appreciated.

I solved it! I was doing:

DateGrid.Controls.Clear()

which clears all controls from the grid, including the scroll bars. (ooops!)
