datafile increase initial size

Hello, we have a datafile of initial size 500MB on a 8i DMT. Auto increment of 500MB. Max size is 2GB. Can we increase initial size to 1GB? How complicated is the procedure?

Not complicated at all:

ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE '<file_name>' RESIZE 2000M;

Sorry, I was going full-sized (2GB) right away; should have read "...RESIZE 1000M" for a 1GB target initial size.
