Database window pops up on close

When exiting my database the database window appears for a second or so. I have very novice Access users and would like to keep it that way so that I don't have to set up any more security than necessary (i.e. code to hide the window, disable the shift key, ect.). But you know about curiosity and the cat. If someone sees it for only a second they will find someone to tell them how to get in. Can anyone explain why the database window pops up on exit and if there is a way to stop it from happening?

Maybe you've already done what i'm going to suggest and you just have a freak database on your hands, but i'll tell you anyways. it sounds like your main window is just minimized and not hidden. to hide the main window and make it harder to get to do these steps. go to tools/startup from the menus. then uncheck "display database window". then click the "advanced" button. at the bottom of the window uncheck "use access special keys". now your main database window should not pop up during shutdown. and users will have a hard time finding the main window. if you do not disable the access special keys a simple "F11" will bring up the main window to the front no matter where it's hiding unless a modal window is open. try that and let me know if it worked.

Display database window and use access special keys were turned off, as you guessed, which is why I posted. I even went so far as to minimize the db window so that during shutdown it would hopefully only show the minimized window in the lower left hand corner of the screen but that didn't work either. During shutdown the db window is displayed maximized for 1 or 2 seconds.

Still looking for a solution if anyone has any suggestions.
