Database window locks when form opens.

Hello,

This has got me stumped. I have been asked to amend a database very simple chance i just have to add a single field to a couple of tables and forms. But i have noticed that i am unable to use the database window while i have a form open.

I am finding this rather strange. It is something none of the other databases i have worked on behaves. The database window initially did not show and menubars were also hidden.

I have amended the startup options which enabled me to activate all the usuals. But still the database window becomes locked when a form is opened. You are unable to use any part ofr the database window. I have looked at hidden and system objects to see if there was some vb and have not found any at all.

If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.

Is the Form(s) by chance openned in modal mode?

Many thanks for that. It was indeed opening in modal mode. I never came across that behaviour before. But then i was using Access 2k before.
