Database Will Not Open

I have a database I work on quite a bit. Something has happened to it that I can't figure out. When I try to open it, the password box pops up. I enter the password, and then I get a gray screen. The database doesn't open. I've tried to open the database several different ways, including holding the shift key down. I get the same result. Does anyone know what might have happened and how I can fix it?

The database is still there. The file is over 14 megabytes in size. I just can't get it to open.

Have you tried creating a new database and importing stuff in from the one you can't open?

I did try that. The same thing happens. I click import and then enter the password. Then nothing. Linking tables doesn't work, either.

I also have another database that is linked to the tables in this one. When I try to open the linked tables to view the data, I get an eternal hourglass. I haven't tried copying and pasting those tables, though. Maybe that will work for me...
