Hi,
I have setup another server for a client that includes a SQL2000 server setup. The server name is NTSERVER and the database is current. I have setup the server and applied SP4 and detached the database and copied it over and reattached it to the new server.
My problem is that the new server has named the SQL server "local" instead of NTSERVER. This client uses an app that searches for the SQL server and attaches to it. When I am on the server the app finds it as "local" but none of the workstations can see it. Everything else seems to be the same so I am trolling for ideas.
Thanks,
James D. Howard
