I have created a database that will be used by four workstations in my companies home office and four copies loaded on laptops out in the field. Once a week I need to have the four laptops out in the field to download their database information without causing any damage to the version currently out there. Is Database Replication my best route to go? If so, can anyone tell me how? If not, can anyone tell me how to do it another way. HELP!

Actually, I need the data to be uploaded from the laptops in the field to the main database. I need to know if replication will truly synchronize instead of just uploading the data from the laptop to the main database.

Yes, database replication WILL synchronize the data on the laptops with the data on the server. If you have users though that are on a dial up, you may have to use Replication Manager. It's a tool provided by Microsoft on their web site and I'm pretty sure it's free.

I'm not sure what all is involved with setting it up because I've never done it before but it shouldn't be too terribly hard to figure out.

Maybe one of the guru's here will know how you might score a copy of the Replication Manager.
