We curently run Arcserve V11 for windows servers. All of our backup servers are setup to log to an SQL database on a remote SQL Server. On A couple of the servers we want to revirt back to the default setup of logging to the local machine to an arcserve database (As they do by default when first setup.)

How do I change the location of the datbase or turn off logging to an SQL database

Thanks in advance

I think to go back to VLDB from SQL you need to run the install again.

With ARCserve 11 you can use BCONFIG.EXED (located in the BrightStor Home directory - default C:\Program Files\CA\BrightStor ARCserve Backup).
In BCONFIG you can select the database type, the caroot user and the backup account. Choose databas tyupe only. It will allow you to revert back to the VLDB database which will be empty if you started with SQL server right away.
There is no utility to convert the data from SQL back into VLDB.

regards
