Hi there,
My database went off-line last night. I checked the logs and found this:
Event ID: 9685
Exchange store 'First Storage Group\Staff Mailbox Database': The current physical size of this database (the .edb file) is 51 GB. This database has exceeded the size limit of 50 GB. However, the logical free space in this database has not yet been evaluated. Therefore, it is possible that this database contains enough free space to bring its logical size below the maximum size limit.
If the logical database size exceeds the maximum size limit, it will be dismounted on a regular basis.
I checked the size of the edb file and it is currently 53GB.
So what is the recommended solution here? Should I create a second database and split the mailboxes evenly across the two. Or can I just increase the limit to say 100GB and not worry about it?
If it's the latter, does anyone know the shell command to do this?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
