All,

IPO 4.2
VM Pro 4.2 (27)

Can anyone confirm if the database license which comes within the IPO Advanced License can connect to a mySQL 4.1 database? The help file says "Most ODBC databases".

Thanks

Andrew

Is mySQL a ODBC database?
If have never used mySQL but any other ODBC connection i have tested dai work with some modding.
I have tested:
MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008
excel file
text file
MS Access

The build in SQL wizard does not work well with ODBC on excel and text files, i build my own queries as i usually do in c# and these work great.

There is an ODBC driver available for Mysql
& i ma fairly sure I have sucsesfully conected VM pro through this when I have been experimenting, but i have not used it in a real application so I wont 100% garantee it
(& the mysql server was runing on a sepperate linux box at the time :-) )
