I need to generate some documentation for a SQL SVR 2000 database. I can do the diagram thing in Enterprise manager, or I can put together diagrams in Visio.

What I would like to be able to do is generate a document that shows the tables, relationships, lists each table's structure and attributes, etc.

What tools are used for "full package" documentation?

Visio does the job. My advice would be to put these diagrams under source control and manage versions carefully.

I'm under a little constraint here as the company I work for also sells tools in this area that are in competition to Visio. I like Visio 2000 (I haven't tried 2002), but I think that it is somewhat limited by comparison to some other products in the marketplace.

If you really, really want some more information on what we do, I am happy to provide that, but I don't want to be seen as selling here. I'm an engineer anyway and I don't make a buck out of it even if you did. :)
