I've been asked to create a database where a stipluation is that a table entry can have 0,1,2,3 documents associated with it - these documents are unique to each entry - I modelled it but I wondered what designs others have used / would use in this instance.

Any advice much appreciated

mit,
Before anyone here can help you with your question you are going to have to provide a lot more information than you have here. I suggest you read this FAQ.

I would encourage you to go a google search on [google]database normalization rules[/google]. Read the first couple articles it suggests. Most developers strive for 3rd order normalization.

I once read, "Normalize until it hurts, de-normalize until it works".
