hi, i'm new to this forum, with a simple question...

we're using ColdFusion 4 on our web server.

my question is this: what Mac program can i use to create a relational database that i can use as a Data Source with ColdFusion? If there are no Mac programs that I can use, then what low-cost (shareware) PC program could I use (other than Microsoft Access)?

thanks.

You can use basically any program and have a DSN related to it. For example, you can use Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, or even .TXT files. However if you want to use a simple relational database program that is easy to use and is completely complaint with ColdFusion, I definitely suggest Microsoft Access (as long as you aren't creating mission critical applications or highly complex application). If you are, I recommend a client/server database solution (such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server).
