We are using Crystal Report 8.5.0.217.

The reports were initially created with a username, that had READ,WRITE & EXECUTE permissions. These reports were created from our "DEVELOPMENT" datbase, based on orcale stored procedures.

However when we try to set the location of these reports to the "TEST" database instance with a USER having only READ and EXECUTE permissions, we are not able to do it. We are seeing all the stored procedures listed in the connection, but we get the above said error (ORA-06564) upon adding it using the "ADD" button in the Data Explorer window.

We are connecting to the data base using a native connection "pds0ra7.dll".

You should use the "Set" in the Database->Set Location Data Explorer to change from one database SP to another. You mentioned an Add, which is an option to add to your favorites. You probably meant Set.

Perhaps there's an issue with not having a write in your SP's, if they create tables, then I might think so.

Try setting it with a user which has write, does it work?

If so, you've somewhat resolved.

Have you verified that the Oracle database has both the Packages and Procedures?

Are you using the CR ODBC driver for Oracle?
