Help!!

I'm a Dreamweaver user who can do most of what I want in that. Unfortunately I've been asked to solve a problem that must be solved in FrontPage 2000 (about which I know nothing).

Using the database wizard in FP2000 I've created a simple page that links to an existing Access database. Everything 'seems' to be working and I can publish fine, but I then get a Yellow Field that says:
Database Results Error
The database connection named 'FPConnection' is undefined.
This problem can occur if:
* the connection has been removed from the web
* the file 'global.asa' is missing or contains errors
* the root folder does not have Scripting permissions enabled
* the web is not marked as an Application Root

I've created exactly the same function in Dreamweaver and it works perfectly with no problems, so the server is clearly working, the database is fine and I can see no fault.

What can be wrong with the FP2000 page, and how can I correct it?

Regards,
Bernard Davis

This is sort of beside the point but why not make the pages outside of FrontPage and then just use it to upload the files?

Unfortunately its something over which I have no control. The request has come from a teacher, who has picked up someone else's course part way through (she's on maternity leave).

The whole course involves using FP2000 to do various things, of which the latest is connect to a database - and the damn thing won't work.

Like I said, in Dreamweaver it takes literally 1 line of code and worked straight away, in FP2000 it takes about 50 lines and doesn't work.

Yes I know about verify the connection and that made no difference.

Bernard Davis
