data grid view focus

I am using a data grid view to display some records. After I pouplate the grid, the focus is set either on the first cell at the top left of the top row depending on how I set the rowselect. I do not want any cell or row automatically selected in this grid. How can I stop this? I have tried currentcell = nothing and setting the tab stops, etc. but it still does it.

You might want to look at DataGridView1.ClearSelection()
