Hi all...
I know this is an XP issue but i'm more concerned with the domain networks...
"Data execution prevention" update from microfsoft, first time I ran into it. 3 windows xp computers refused to print locally stating something about forcing closed an application for security reasons. I know there's patches from the vendors but...
I think the download is KB921883 here:
details on how to deal with it here:
Don't want it on? you have to edit the boot.ini file and look for /noexecute=policy_level,
change policy_level to AlwaysOff and reboot.
Is it possible to change the boot.ini from the server through GPO or something? Or will I need to disable it from each workstation? I don't want this running on any of my networks and i've got the funny feeling this is going to be a hassle. I know there's patches, but that's alot of different local printers.
Thank you
Rob
