Would appreciate a bit of help with what is probably a simple one.

In the de of a form I wish to remove a cursor but I can't find it in the visual representation of the de where a simple press of the 'delete' key normally does the trick. It certainly exists in the de because I can see it in the properties window but I can't seem to delete it from there.

many thanks
rgw

Rgw,

If you can see it in the DE's properties window, then surely it must be in the DE window. Is it possible that you have simply scrolled away from the area where it is visible?

Try this. Select the cursor in the properties window. Then click on the title bar of the main DE window. The cursor should appear with a highlighted title.

I think it is possible to make a cursor 'disappear' by somehow moving to the left of the de and I suspect this is what I've done. Tried your response and I certainly can browse the view I wish to remove from the de but I can't get rid of it. I have looked hard for this thing with no luck. Suppose it would be nice if the form de had the 'arrange' feature available in the dbc representation of the entire database.

many thanks

Hi rgw,

Clean Up Project could help. Certainly won't hurt.

Also you could try deleting the resource files, foxuser.*

Rgw,

OK, try this.

1. Open the form as a table: USE MyForm.SCX.

2. Browse it.

3. Look in the Objname fields for the record that matches your cursor name.

4. Go to its properties field. Open it and edit the Top and Left properties. Set them to low numbers.

5. Close the browse window and the table.

I think that should solve it.
