Data entry screens/fields

FPW26 has a command which will make each entry field appear as a box. My issue is the boxes are inconsistently leaving ___s (broken lines and remnants of box on the screen as data is entered in various fields. Any suggestions for maintaining a nice, clean data entry screen? My screens are built with raw code and not with screen builder.

One way is to develop the screen using Foxpro's Screen Designer, Generate the screen into an SPR file.

Then, if you insist on using the older hard-code manner, cut & paste code from the SPR file and put it into your PRG file.

You can try using READBORDER on your gets instead of manually creating boxes around them too.

Thanks Dave ..
We are using SET READBORDER ON when we first load the program. The problem is the borders breaking up inconsistently after data is entered into a field, making entry screens look wierd.
