Hi,
I have 2 NT 4.0 Servers, each have 2 NIC's, 1 connected to the LAN and the other connected to the other server via a cross over cable.
One server is the production file server, and the other is a "warm" standby server.
The idea was to use the 2nd NIC to copy data between the 2 servers without impacting LAN performance.
We have configured the standby server to copy the data from the production server using Robocopy and specifing the IP address of the 2nd NIC. What we find is packets are sent via the 2nd NIC, however the data from the production server comes in via the 1st (LAN) NIC.
Any ideas why this might be happening, and a possible resolution to get the data transfer to occur only over the 2nd NIC's ?
Thanks
