Dashboards - Viewer Question

Hi,

I am looking to see if someone has used the viewer in this manner - I want to use the viewer like a thumbnail - sort of. If a user hoovers over an analytic in a metric list then the viewer in the next box will show a thermometer/barometer/speedometer. When they hoover over the next line in the metric list the viewer displays that thermometer/barometer/speedometer and so forth.

Let me know if you have any other documentation other than BOBJ's website!

Sounds pretty cool. Too bad, it doesn't work that way. You have to click, not hover to get them to show. Since the control is not editable, you're out of luck.

BO doesn't listen here. This board is very quiet.

BO listens on their own site and on busobj.forumtopics.com.

Those are the real BO communities. But, don't count on a change like this. It would be very inconsistent with how the rest of the software works. On the web, things need to be clicked.

Okay so here is another question everyone,

Hi,

I want to include a webi graph in a dashboard, but when I put the webi report in the dashboard, the toolbar is at the top and I want to turn that off so the webi report cannot be changed or refreshed.

I have tried to locate a standard bar report to do this in in the dashboard manager, but I do not see a standard bar report without it going through IMT. Anyone have ideas on that?

This will be there this quarter in the "Information Worker" Release. Report Parts will be doable for WebI docs from Live Office and MyInfoView. I assume this will be the case for dashboards as well.

My understand is that the BETA "Information Worker" Release will be this fall (Nov) - but the product won't be available until for full-release until 2007.

Have you seen the BETA yet...?

No. Thanks for the info - here's what the scenario is, if you have any tips on how to solve this, that would be great.

We created a dashboard and put a webi report on the home page of the dashboard. When the dashboard loads the webi report grabs the header title of the page and holds it. If you navigate off into a folder, the webi report holds the header and you can't navigate back to the home page of the dashboard.

Has anyone seen this? Is this a bug or what's up with this/
