Dartmart - Need Verification

I think this is possible, but I need to verify:

Can you run datamarts to take data from an Access source table and output it into Oracle? I have a bunch of old data stored in several Access databases, and rather than do individual conversion processes writing code I would like to use MSTR if possible.

Sounds like an ETL problem...but in theory, yes you can use MicroStrategy to map from one source to another. The access tables would have to be the reporting tables, and they would have to be modeled into a project. Next you would have to create the ODBC destination link and set it up as a datamart for exports in MicroStrategy. Then you would have to build reports, run a query, and then export it. Phew.

Might be easiest to consolidate all tables into once Access DB and export the damn thing right into Oracle using SQL Server DTS packages!...or use a real ETL tool
