I'm looking at my sons computer to try to rid it of the nasties while he's away in jolly old England. He must have loaded the accelerator program at some point and who knows where this daosearch thing comes from. I've tried my old standbys, Spybot, ad-aware etc.. to no avail. How can I clean this junk out of here for him. I'm still using 98se so I'm not to sure about this ME landscape. Thanks, Hank

The key in ME is to disable system restore. Malwares take up residence here and thus respawn on reboot.
