I would like to add, amend, delete Table records from VBA using ADO. I used DAO in the recient past but now I'm told the the technology is superseeded

Thanks in advance
Kenneth.

I'm not sure I agree that the technology is superceded exactly.

ADO definitely has its advanbtages, but I have found that DAO is significantly faster when working with native Jet tables. This may have changed in later versions of MS Access (I haven't done much testing since MS Access 2000).

If you're working with tables other than MS Access then ADO is almost certainly the way to go, otherwise I would still consider DAO as an option.

I noted that whilst DAO was removed as a default reference in MS Access 2000 projects it is back again in Access 2003. This may not mean anything, but I'm not sure....
