"error occured when openeing view cs0004
view cs0004 is not a valid view ID
error occured when activating sage accpac data source

still i ve done it 2 time already nothin using accpac 5.5

the error is from a backup
i took how should i go about it

This is not a normal error, something basic is wrong with your setup. Maybe its your ODBC DSN's, like you're pointing the system DSN to a Company database, when you should be using the SQL server name for all connections (assuming this is a MSSQL database)

Dbdump and Dbload might fix it, but that's a long shot.

dbdump and dbload not working i mean the error is still there

Exactly what are you doing when you see the error?

i want to create new currency and change the user auhorization

Select Help/System Information, which version of CS is checked?

My money is still on missing program files...

Agreed. Maybe he should rename CS55A before re-installing SM, because CS.INI is messed up.

the funny thing is i hve 3 diff company but i m getting the error from only one so i dont think it is the setup

Then I'm out of ideas, none of my clients have ever had this problem.
