Is there a way to force a daily pop up of a html using javascript after a site has been visited?

popups are caused by the javascript 'window.open' command.

not too sure what you mean by a 'daily popup'; i certainly don't like sites that 'force' popups on me (it's why i use a popup blocker).

when you say 'after a site has been visited', do you mean when a user leaves your site, or do you mean once they've visited your site, they get a popup every day afterwards?
This sounds an awful lot like adware, which would be most unwelcome. Of course, this may not be the case, but your post does suggest potentially unpleasant interpretations.

Yes it does sound like it. But its not. Dont ask me why, thats just what our client wants. Yeah...after they visit a site. Maybe plant a cookie...and have a pop up of a html to display once every 24 hours. Is that possible?

No. Thank god it's not - otherwise the blighters would be popping up every minute.

The only way this could be done is if the user were to download software onto their machine. Adware is the only use I've seen code like this put to so far - in fact, you might as well find some adware code on the web and customise that.
