Is there an easier way to place a "live" call on a DF160 portable in Park Slot 1 - other than the following:

Create a shortcode - say 301 - to Park a call in Park Slot 1.

On the D160 while on a "live" call - press More, Trsfr, 301, Trnsfr, YES - to Consult - then hang-up.

It seems like a very long and tedious process just to Park a call??

Is there an easier way??

Nope, they are a non Avaya product shoehorned into the system and the integration reflects that :)

I have a client with a D160 that I put a "Call Park" on one button and "UnPark Call" on another button. To park a call while on a live call, you press the Call Park button. It then asks what park zone. I forget if you put 1 or 01 and then ok/enter/done. That parks it on one. To pickup, press the UnPark, enter the park zone 1 or 01, and then ok/enter/done. Not 100% streamlined, but a little better.

Yes that's better, one day Avaya will give us a wireless phone that will take programmable keys....won't they? :)

Even if they have to make it digital! It's so expensive for terrible integration/functionality as is.

Telecomboy: I can see that you can program one of the 8 buttons for Call Park (but I was told this button function does not work). I do not see any option for programming a Call Unpark button. Maybe the 2012 User guide is out-of-date? The system in question is at release 9.0.4
