Cut&Paste problems, chinese characters

Hi,
Usually my working environment is switching between several remote sessions and my local computer. I need to copy form/to remote into local, somehow there are times when clipboard stops working and either I got nothing to paste or it carries chinese characters. Please, help!!

Sonetimes if you have macros that are triggered by events, like selection events, it can clear the clipboard.

There are far too many possible variables here. What applications are you using? Do you really think this is an MS Office issue? If so, have you tried Paste Special as Unformatted Text, perhaps?

Well, usually I'm runing Access and Excel... what takes me to the conclusion this may be an Office issue.

I think the problem resides in the clipboard rather than the content... it doesn't matter what or where I'm trying to paste, the clipboard shows chinese characters.

How are you determining the contents of the clipboard?

Also, having Chinese fonts on your machine is not a default setting so do you have some regional issues here - are the remote sessions Chinese (not that I'd know what to do with a Chineses Excel!)?

Tony,

No chinese settings at all! And I'm seeing the contents activating the clipboard task pane in remote as well as local aplications (being this Access, Word or Excel).
I've done some research and found something about chinese characters shown in MS applications when there are corrupted records in Access

Ah, you mean the Office Clipboard.

Glad you're finding something out - does this only happen when you copy from Access, then? Or does it only happen when you copy from remote to local? Or what?

Not sure I can actually help an awful lot. There have been some reports of occasional failures to paste in Office 2003 but, AFAIK, nothing concrete.
