Customized Menus

I'm using Access XP Pro Developer.

I thought I had these customized menus well and truly sorted - until just now!

I'm producing a database for distribution - hopefully - and I need to make it fairly idiot proof with extremely limited facilities for the user. So I developed a new custom menu bar.

I had a Tools facility on the bar to make the 'repair and compact' function available. So far, so good - and it didn't affect the 'proper' menu bar.

Then I tried to modify the File menu. I reduced it down to Save, Print facilities and Exit. Enough for the compulsive fiddlers to keep away!

However, when I modified the custom menu bar File facilities, it modified my 'master' menu bar as well. And I don't want that.

Where have I gone wrong, please?

TIA

Chris

OK, I'm stoopid. But I'm good at it!

Hmmm...

Not sure what has happened. I created another new menu bar and it all seems to be working the way I want now.

One of life's little mysteries!

Anyway, problem resolved (somehow)!
